History
CH Pumps was founded on a strong foundation of industry expertise, integrity, and acommitment to excellence. Our journey began with Francois du Toit, who entered the pump industry in 1997 after a distinguished career in the financial sector of the South African government. As Managing Director of Charlson Pumps, Francois gained deep insight into the complexities of pump systems and developed a reputation for reliability and product knowledge.
In 2015, after nearly two decades in the industry, Francois established CH Pumps, bringing with him over 18 years of experience in wholesale supply and service. His vision was to create a company rooted in quality, customer service, and technical expertise.
Two years later, in 2017, Francois was joined by his son Charl du Toit. Charl quickly became a key force within the company, combining hands-on experience with a modern and forward-thinking approach to the water transfer industry.
Together, this father-and-son duo has built CH Pumps into a trusted name in the market, with complementary skills, shared values, and a deep commitment to integrity, honesty, and innovation, they continue to lead the business with passion and purpose.
Today
Today, 10 years later, CH Pumps has grown into a trusted industry leader through strategic partnerships with renowned international manufacturers. These collaborations allow us to offer our clients premium quality products, competitive pricing, and exceptional service across all sectors we serve.
In 2025, CH Pumps proudly registered the Vertix Pump trademark and became the exclusive importer and distributor of this high quality range of pumps. As we look ahead, we are committed to expanding the Vertix brand and growing our stockholding to meet the increasing demands of our clients across South Africa and beyond.
